Ask any question that relate in-game wise (Where to find this TM, etc.) Competitive battling questions are not to be posted here.

Im at he first gym in black and white. Is it just me or is training in this game wayyy harder then gen 4? i have a level 11 oshawott and a level 10 lillipup and i cant find a good way to train. I battled everyone in the dreamyard. What levels should i be when i face the first gym? Is their a more efficient way to train?

I dunno. Seemed the same to me, training-wise. If I remember correctly, the gym leader is going to use a Lvl. 12 Lilipup and a Level 14 Pansage.Talk to a girl in the dreamyard, she'll give you a Pansear, which should make your battle much easier.

For the next gym, you might want a Throw, or a Sawk.

yep i just caught a throh.
Hes working out pretty well but hes lacking the power i want my fighting types to have, im going to use him for the 2nd gym but ill probably box him after that.

and i found two pokemon that look like they have great attack but i cant decide between the two, Its Drilbur and Roggenrola. I dont really know which one will aid my team the best. And which one is better. I read that there both really good attackers but i dont know which one to pick.

Is asking how to train using the competitive mechanics that are rarely used outside competitive battling allowed here (like IVs, EVs, etc.)?

Yes, as long as you don't ask for spreads. The only things allowed here are questions like "Where can I find Attack EVs?" or "What are EVs?"

Yeh, they would. This is only for asking what EVs and IVS are, and where to find them I may be posting an EV and IV Guide up later, if many people want one.
Post EVs and IVs discussion in the appropriate games, for example, Gen V EVs in Black and White discussion. Kapeesh?

Ok, thats good, now, for the 4th gym, you may want to pick up a Sandile, probably with Moxie.

I don't remember the reason why I went with Tepig, I guess I wanted Fire type starter Pokemon. cat
