| Ciào readers, first let me thank you for taking the time to rate my team. I've been testing this team out, and I've been getting pretty mediocre results, winning around 4/10 of my battles. I don't really know a lot of the 5th Gen Pokemon, only having included one on my team, so if anyone could help me out in that area, thank you! Anyways, without further ado, it's time for you to meet... Team Evolution! *Changes In Bold*

- Spoiler:
This is my favorite Pokemon, I'm glad that it's survived in the OU tier from RSE to D/P/PL. I decided to build my team around Swampert. Instantly, when I look at Swampert, her crippling X4 weakness to grass jumps up to mind. Heatran comes of as a good counter due to it's high Special Defence and it's Dual Typing. Now I have two members of my "core". Water/Ground, Steel/Fire make for a decent core, but what can be added? A Grass type comes to mind, as sometimes, Heatran's HP grass just doesn't cut it. Virizion is a decent Pokemon, also with a Dual typing, Grass/Fighting so I add her in. Virizion was supposed to be the 3rd member of my core, resisting Water and Ground attacks meant for Heatran. During intial testing, (3v3) This trio performed amazingly well. Heatran covered Swampert's Grass weakness and Virizion's Fire and Psychic, while Swampert took on the Fighting attacks intended for Heatran like a boss. However, I remained stuck against this annoying bastard - Jellicent. Using WoW, it destroyed Swampert and Virizion, leaving Heatran to fend off the remaining Poke's on my opponent's team. I took out Virizion and replaced her with a Specially-based Lucario. I fended much better against foes such as Shaymin, Jellicent, Celebi and Scizor without having to switch out to Heatran. This allowed me to also free up the space for Swampert to come in and start cursing, something Virizion couldn't do. When I looked at my new, refined core, I noticed the huge ground type weakness. So I added this levitating spectre, and she has not dissapointed me. Although weak to Pursuit and pretty much every SE attack, she has not let me down at all. So at this stage, I started looking for support Pokemon, since I had 3 sweepers and one tank/sweeper = Swampert. I hate status, and since none of my team had Lum Berries, I needed a bulky Pokemon that could use Heal Bell and attack physically. (3 special sweepers). Originally Blissey came to mind, with her Seismic Tosses and Toxic. I used Blissey for a bit, but she was a bit lacking at walling Darmatian, Blaziken, Infernape and Conkeldurr <Insert strong physical attacker here> even with the Bold set. I then turned to Dragonite, and she was amazing. Un-afraid of these fighting types, she could DD in their face and she also carried Heal Bell. These Pokemon worked out for me a bit, but I was missing out on a lot of 2HKO's that I could have achieved with Spikes/Toxic Spikes/Stealth Rock. The obvious candidate was Skarmory, but I found myself getting taunted way too much. So, I made my "lead" Scolipede, as it carries the fastest Toxic Spikes in the game. I used this team for some final playtesting, and performed OK. I read the feedback Anthrix gave me and decided to transfer over my Roserade from Platinum. Although Scolipede is the faster lead, I found Roserade useful against those common Politoads and Tyranitars. So I swapped Scolipede's place for Roserade. And here it is, the finished team. Now, on to their move sets!
- Spoiler:
"Kenshin" the Scolipede (♂) @ Focus Sash Ability: Poison Point EVs: 252 Atk/252Spe/4HP Jolly nature (+Spe,-SpA) - Spikes - Toxic Spikes - Earthquake - X- Scissor Here's my lead, Scolipede. I know people are saying that leads are non-existent in BW because of team preview, but he still contributes a lot, due to his dual spikes. The EV's make sure he hits maximum speed, and the Focus Sash makes sure he has at least one layer of Toxic Spikes/Spikes up. Pretty much ripped this from Smogon, but hey, it works. (Replaced by Roserade)
"Reborn" the Roserade (♂) @ Focus Sash Ability: Poison Point EV's: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe Timid nature (+Spe, -Atk) - Toxic Spikes - Leaf Storm - Sludge Bomb - Sleep Powder
Freshly caught Roserade, directly imported from Sinnoh to poison you. Anyone who played competitive Gen 4 should know this guy. Standard, except for Hidden Power, mine is Dark and unfortunately, I have no way to change it.
"Lucy" the Heatran (♀) @ Chople Berry/Shuca Berry Ability: Flash Fire EVs: 252 SpA/4 HP/ 252 Spe Modest nature (+SpA, -Atk) - Fire Blast - Stealth Rock - Dragon Pulse/Earth Power - Roar
This Heatran doesn't really focus on hitting the enemy, instead, she acts as support and a trapper. I chose a Chople Berry atm instead of a standard Passho/Shuca Berry because of my bad luck into switching onto fighting attacks. I may replace it later. As you can see, Heatran provides a defensive section to my team. Stealth Rock is there because I can't afford to waste one of Swampert's Attack slots, Magma Storm is to prevent walls from escaping, (so I can set up on them) and Roar is to shuffle my opponent's team around. Dragon Pulse is filler and can be replaced. Under suggestion of Anthrix, I've made this Heatran focus more on the offensive. I will be keeping Chople Berry for now, as there are many Fighting Types running rampant as of now.
"Amaterasu" the Lucario (♂) @ Life Orb / Air Balloon Ability: Steadfast EVs: 252 Atk/ 4 HP/252 Spe Jolly nature (+Spe, - Atk) - Close Combat - Crunch - Extremespeed - Swords Dance
The thought behind this Lucario is to act as a revenge-killer. The EV's allow this Lucario to outspeed some threats, like Dragonite, (insert Pokemon with Base Speed <90). This Lucario acts suprisngly well, as BW introduced a lot of slow but strong Pokemon. Jellicent still remains a bit of a problem, but not as much when I had Virizion. Since my Lucario is not the Swords Dance variant, WoW has no effect on it's offence. More Problem with Jellicent, but an added Physical Sweeper. The move-set is a bit different, to me, Blaze Kick is more appealing than Ice Punch/ ExtremeSpeed.I designed this Lucario for an Excadrill counter, I lol when Me First + Swords dance'd Earthquake kills that scrub. Meant to be an Exca counter/revenge killer, no one really expects Me First on Lucario, and the suprise factor is really working on WIFI.
"Lazuli" the Swampert (♀) @ Leftovers Ability: Torrent EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA) - Curse - Rest - Superpower/Avalanche - Earthquake/ Aqua Tail
This is a set I've been using to relative to mediocre success lately, with proper set-up, I feel that it has potential. Basically, the idea behind this set is to come in on a wall Heatran has trapped, Curse, and attack with the appropriate move. In the battles I've been in, the most common counter was Ferrothorn. These overgrown, spiky cabbages don't really pose much of a threat. They expect me to switch out so they can Spike, but Suprise! Superpower punishes these Durians for around 47-51 % to it, which means this bastard is only going to be switching on me twice. The reason why I don't carry a Chesto Berry is because I have team support for it, in the means of Heal Bell Dragonite. Other common switch-ins, from what I've seen, are Jellicent, Skarmory, Celebi, Shaymin and to an extent, Gyrados. I mostly rely on team support for all of the others. I was mostly thinking about Ferrothron as I made this set. XD I've found this Swampert to be an OK check for Garchomp, Mixmence and Metagross, as long as I have a +1. Any and every form of criticism is welcomed.
"Tiamat" the Dragonite (♀) @ Leftovers Ability: Inner Focus EV's: 252 HP / 44 Atk / 212 Spe Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA) - Heal Bell / Roost - Dragon Dance - Dragon Claw - Extreme Speed
Yay for Dragonite. She never fails me. IMO, for my team, the only reason I chose her over her sexier brethren was - Heal Bell. As my team is very susceptible to status, especially burn, I needed a bulky sweeper, who could also use Heal Bell. Dragonite was the only candidate other than Roserade (Aromatherapy, but very fragile). This set is working for me, as I can come in various times and Heal Bell, then proceed to DD and sweep.
"Chesire" the Gengar (♀) @ Life Orb/Choice Scarf Ability: Levitate EV's: 252 SpA/4 HP/252 Spe Timid nature (+SpA, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Focus Blast - Pain Split - Substitute
I hate Evolite. I'd rather prefer my opponent using Bright-powder over Evolite. That's how much I hate it. Thanks to Gengar, I can punish those fools who bring in Chansey (Believe me, there's a Chansey in about 1/3 of teams) and/or Blissey. Pain Split also has useful functions as a semi-reliable way of healing myself, when I'm too damaged from LO recoil. She contributes to my team by getting rid of those annoying walls. She also acts as a backup sweeper if Lucario gets killed.
White = mediocre threat Orange = Average Threat Red = Hard Threat
- Spoiler:
Offensive Threats Aerodactyl - Swampert. Aerodactyl is damn flimsy, so even unboosted Aqua Tail will OHKO/2HKO Breloom - Not really a problem, but a sacrifice is generally necessary to get in Heatran/Lucario without getting Spored. Conkeldurr - Gengar. Darmanitan - Swampert. Deoxys-S - Fragile, will get Spikes up. Always 2HKO with Focus Sash Dragonite - Annoying, but I've killed it with Swampert's avalanche. Empoleon - I haven't encountered one yet, but I'll switch to Heatran/Swampert Espeon - Haven't seen one. Excadrill - Bitch. Probably will sweep my whole team. Gengar - Heatran. Gyarados - Tricky. Haxorus - XD Lucario will OHKO after SR, Spikes. Of course, if it's Scarfed, my Lucario ends up dead. Heatran - Swampert. Heracross - Haven't seen one yet, no idea. Hydreigon - Hmm. Gengar => Focus BlastInfernape - Swampert generally takes care of him. Jirachi - I tend to sen out Heatran against this gal. Jolteon - Haven't seen one since HG/SS. Kingdra - I hate you. No solution yet. Kyurem - Haven't seen one yet, no idea. Landorus - All Genies are evil. Latios - Soul Dew > 6-0. Lilligant - Some Gardevoir rip-off with a tulip as a hat? No problem. Lucario - Gengar. Machamp - :/ I think Gengar can handle him. Magnezone - Not a huge problem. Mamoswine - No Problem. Metagross - Threat, but I think I can handle him. Mienshao - I hate U-Turns, but Heatran takes care of him. Reuniclus - Psychic tears of fury. Roserade - Not a huge problem, Swampert has to switch out. Salamence - Tears my team apart if it gets the chance to DD. Sawsbuck - Haven't seen one yet, no idea. Scizor - Heatran will keep this guy in check. Scrafty- I'm not familiar with it. Shaymin - Not a big problem. Sigilyph - Freakin cosmic power! Smeargle - Haven't seen one yet, no idea. Starmie - Not a definite way to get rid of this UFO Star. Terakion - Not a big problem. Thundurus - All Genies are evil. Tornadus - All Genies are evil. Tyranitar - Swampert says Hi. Venusaur - Is the sun up? Yes? Go, Heatran! Victini - Heatran. Virizion - Heatran. Volcarona - SR, Roar Weavile - No problem. Zoroark - Haven't seen one yet, no idea. Defensive Threats Blissey - Swampert get's a chance to set up, Superpower! Bronzong - Requires patience, but also allows me to set up a few curses. Celebi - Heatran. Chansey - The reason why I have Gengar. Deoxys-D - I've seen cosmic power sets, requires patience and crits. Dusclops - Gengar time. Ferrothorn - Heatran, but Seeing Swampert Superpower this cabbage to death is satisfying. Forretress - Heatran, barely see this guy anymore, everyone ditched him for Ferrothorn. Gliscor - Annoying, but I suppose Lucario's HP ICE can take it down. Hippowdon - Same as above. Jellicent - Why did Game Freak create this? Why?! Gengar's Shadow Ball 2HKOs it. Latias - Same as Latios, often un-beatable. Murkrow - lolwut? Ninetales - No problem. Heatran. Politoed - Some level of difficulty, but Dragonite can take care of it. Porygon2 - Not much of a problem, Lucario. Rotom-W - Switch in to Swampert as they Volt Switch. Skarmory - Not really a problem. Snorlax - Haven't seen one of these yet. Suicune - Annoying. Swampert - Actually, pretty hard to kill. I guess Gengar can get it done. Tentacruel - Not a huge problem. Vaporeon - Not a huge problem, but a thorn in my side. Whimsicott - Heatran. Xatu - Have never seen this guy. Zapdos - Swampert.
Conclusion So, my team basically is geared for this strategy: Scolipede Roserade get's the spikes up, dies, Heatran comes in to trap walls, Swampert sets up and tries to sweep while Lucario and Gengar clean up the remains. Dragonite can come in everytime Swampert Rests and Heal Bell. I'm having a lot of trouble against Rain Dance teams, as those annoying scrubs outspeed and KO all of my Pokemon. <I'm looking at you, Kabutops/ Kingdra.> Any criticism is welcome, help me improve my team please! Oh, and take in note that I use this team in the game, not on PO, so it make take a while to make changes to this team. Also, because of this, I can't change Hidden Power types.

| Conkeldurr counter: Use Life Orb on Gengar all the time. When you predict Conkeldurr is going to use a fighting move, switch in Gengar and attack Conkeldurr's weak Special Defense with Shadow Ball. | |

Sorry, I haven't edited this yet. Conkeldurr is not a big problem for me.

| A very solid 4th gen team indeed they don't usually transfer well into 5th gen though but they have their perks. | |
